When we first opened our taproom in Shelburne in August 2019 we got lots of great feedback. People loved the copper top on the bar, they loved the booths and the patio…but we quickly realized it was a really big space.
With A LOT of empty white walls.
We decided that a mural was the answer and in the fall of 2019 we invited local artists to send us their ideas. We had some great submissions and it was a tough choice but Catlin Perry was commissioned to take his vision and make it reality on the wall in February 2020. We even had him live painting while we were open some evenings. The vibrant colours really tell the story of our brand and the legend of Boxing Rock.
After the mural we started inviting local artists to have shows in our space and this has resulted in many wonderful works of art being part of the Boxing Rock Taproom experience.
